Anyone who commits any act in violation of this Act or any notification, order or instruction issued under this Act shall be punished with a fine or imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or both.

Explanation: This For the purposes of the section, the term "debt" means the amount of investment made abroad in violation of this Act or any notice, order or instruction issued under this Act. If he continues to commit the offense even after receiving the notification of the order, he will be fined at the rate of fifty rupees for each such day.
